American Legoin Post 102
Post 102, one of the oldest posts in the state of Florida
We received our Charter Sept 20, 1932.
After several years of neglect, we’re now going through a rebuilding phase, with new officers and a new commitment to serving our communities of Hastings and the Flagler Estates areas, of S.W. St John’s County.
Our members work weekly with the Mobile Food Pantry, in Flagler Estates, helping an average of 80-110 families, with food supplied by 2nd Harvest Food Bank in St Augustine.
We’ve also given support to the Hastings O.U.R. food center on Harris St and now are assisting the South Menendez Athletic Association, supporting over 130 kids with a new Junior Football and Cheer Leaders program.
On paper, we now have 21 members, which is good, but now we need our members to step up and get involved.
That means, get out of the recliner, come in and help.
We have plans on a full inside cleaning of the Post, clean and repaint the outside of the Post and we now have a New “Hot Dog Wagon”, which we plan on taking to local events to help us raise money and get the word out about our Post and what we now stand for. After we rebuild and refurbish it, another project!
Our normal meeting night is the 3rd Thursday of every month, 7:00PM.
